My son, Larry Humphries, died on December 14, 1991 as the result of an automobile accident. The family and his friends agreed to donate his organs, knowing he would have wanted it that way. Knowing that through his death, Larry was able to save the lives or alleviate the suffering of others, has been my greatest consolation. To me Larry lives on! My sincere hope is that through this quilt more people become aware of the tremendous need for organ and tissue donation. What can be more precious than the Gift of Life??
