Tullahoma News; Date: Dec 23, 2007; Section: News; Page: 7

PEREZ, Julie Hunt, RN of San Antonio, Texas died on Dec. 1, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Julie was a 1982 graduate of Tullahoma High School and Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA. She was a registered nurse and a captain in the US Army Reserve. She is survived by her husband Ray and three year old daughter Alexandria. She also leaves behind her parents, former Tullahoma residents Dr. Jay and Judy Hunt, brothers Jay III, and Jonathan and their families all of Slidell, L, and members of the Perez family in San Antonio. She is missed by her many friends at her church, The Door CFC in San Antonio.

Alexandria is a clone of Julie.  She is extremely gregarious and a delight to be around.  Ray is a very successful contractor in San Antonio.  Julie was very active in her church community and enjoyed her women's fellowship group and Bible study.  Nursing was her passion and she combined that with her commitment to serve her country.  Julie's military career took her around the world, including a time serving in the Middle East.  She loved life and lived it to the fullest.

I am not for sure but I think she had been fighting breast cancer for several years. I just found out about it recently myself. I believe she died maybe in 2007. She left a great husband and a little girl.

Oh my gosh, I am just now seeing these memorials. I had no idea these people were gone! Julie Hunt!! Oh my gosh, I just can't believe it. This is so sad. Makes you really take a look at how fragile life is and not to take things for granted.

Bye Julie! I never forgot you!

Julie and I were good friends during middle school and part of high school. She had the best laugh ever! I loved hearing her laugh. She had a big personality and a love of life I will never forget. I was very sad to hear of her passing and will always smile when I think of her.
