McGEE, Joann Carter, 33 of Manchester, died Thursday June 5, 1997 at Manchester Medical Center. She was an employee of Dawn Ray Casual and a hairdresser. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Charles (Charlie) Carter, Tullahoma. Survivors include her husband, Roger L. McGee, Tullahoma; father Wayne W. Carter, Manchester; brother, Michael Wayne Carter, McMinnville, and stepdaughter, Deliah McGee Lynchburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm today, June 6, 1997 at Tullahoma Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, June 7, 1997 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Tullahoma Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Joann & I were such good friends as children. We met in girl scouts and hit it right off, we continued our friendship through high school. We bumped into each other several years after high school and carried on as if time had not passed. I didn't learn of Joann's passing until about 2 years ago. I've shared stories about things we use to do in girl scouts with my family and I always thought we would look each other up and reminisce again one day. This is confirmation "tomorrow is not promised to anyone" if you miss someone try to get in touch with him/her, don't put it off. I miss my ole friend.
